The Rebel Alliance to Restore the Republic
The Rebel Alliance, a band of rag tag individuals, coming from every corner of the galaxy. A motley band of freedom fighters, ex-imperial soldiers, rogues, fugitives, and pirates filled their ranks. All with the same intention, restoration of democracy to the galaxy and overthrowing the tyrannical Galactic Empire. These patriots remain in hiding and resort to the extensively used guerilla tactics, they've become well known for. These patriots lack the assets and strength of the most powerful military in the known galaxy, the forces of Imperial Navy, Imperial Army, and the dreaded Stormtrooper Corp.
Beginnings a Many
With the despotic rule of the Empire, unrest began, starting after the downfall of the Republic. Beginning first with radical nationalists of the Core worlds, these voices begun to fall silent but not on silent ears. These various factions were not only nationalists, but also liberals, remained separated, under various banners. It was largely due to the actions of a senator of Contruum, Beyn Vrokar that united a group of pirates, known as only as the Shadow Claw Pirates, here is where the foundation for the modern Rebel Alliance would be laid.
Creation of the Alliance
Soon after the arrival of the Senator Beyn Vrokar, a treaty was reached by the leader of the Shadow Claw Pirates, Zayri Cresh and her second-in-command on the core world of Corellia, they met with the politician and would reach what would be known as the Corellian Treaty. Both parties putting both their assets together, from this document, begin a brave new group known as the Rebel Alliance. Vrokar assumed command of the whole organization and began to fully restructure it, with reforms and new positions; this rag-tag group of rebels was taking shape. However, the Senator of Contruum had left the Alliance, believed seeking larger goals, but nothing was known for sure.
A New Leader
Before Senator Beyn Vrokar, father of the Alliance left, he placed a young member of Rebel High Command in charge; this young Mon Cal pilot and member of the Shadow Claw Pirates, known as Maskan. For such a daunting task of leading a organization, it would have been more than acceptable to decline, but in the young Mon Cal's heart, he could see this organization fall apart, and reluctantly some say, accepted to become the leader of the Rebel Alliance.
Growth
The following months showed progress for the brave Rebel Alliance. It had experienced ups and downs, but over came them to become ever stronger and united against a common foe. These were the days of growth and progress, with many new members pledging their support in the many branches of the Alliance, with one branch in particular, the Alliance Armed forces. With many new potential members arriving, it was particular of one individual, ex-Imperial Naval Officer, Erwin Kliest. Kliest had made an important impact on the Rebel Navy, though just a motley collaboration of Frigates, freighters, and Naval Staff from various worlds; he steadily rose through the ranks to become more recognized and eventually as one of the key members of the entire Rebel Navy.
Another important event would occur, the establishment of Bases and a Head-Quarters on various sympathetic and far away worlds. It was essential that the Alliance was spread out, that if attacked by the larger, superior Imperial armed Forces that could destroy of the Alliance forces, the Alliance would continue, set back, but able to stay together. Some bases have rose in importance and are a critical importance to the success of the Alliance. Some Imperial world's have secretly pledged their support and have done it indiscreet ways to bolster the Alliance.
The Alliance Today
Coming ever farther from early days, the Alliance is a large, indiscreet collaboration making its presence known throughout the galaxy. Still seen as a piratical force by many, the Rebellion needs a large victory or break to hit the Empire and get more recognition and more members. It has slowly been doing so, with a new HQ set up and becoming evermore functional by the day, increased activity has spurred the Alliance to become more powerful and with it, more strikes have been able to to been accomplished. With partisan tactics, the Alliance can have far reaching small spheres of influence.
The galaxy has grown with much more unrest than seen with previous years. With the newly established Core Worlds Alliance, it is a powder keg, with the smallest spark will explode Galactic Civil War. The intentions of the CWA, is unknown, but a powerful ally if the Alliance can secure it. It is a important time and the following events that are already in motion will set the outcome of the galaxy. It is crucial time for the Galaxy, with it the future of the Rebel Alliance.
