"This is a breaking news, a series of attacks on convoys throughout the Corellian Trade Route, this past week, has left many devastated and overwhelmed the local system's security forces. Thousands have lost their lives in the attack. Trillions of credits have been lost and the economy will suffer an unimagined turmoil. We're not sure who is behind this or if the attacks are related. It appears that the attacks are random and many ships that are lost are supply ships for numerous systems, primarily Coruscant. Witnesses have said they raiders and pirates and they have gone by many different names, such as Black Sun, Shadow Claw, Dark Scorpion and many other minor pirates. There is no official word from the Imperial Remnant on their response. Corellia itself has successfully fended off some of the attacks and Corulag as well. Many large corporations are hiring armed escorts in the light of the recent events and many local system urge travelers not to go without protection.

In related news, a diplomatic meeting took place among some of the leaders of the Core worlds at Pantolomin. Representatives presented are from Corellia, Fondor, Cardia, Duro, Rendii, and Corulag. They are discussing many issues that arised, especially in the wake of succession from the Galactic Empire. Many are outraged by the lack of action of Regent Revan Centurion to the plight of the core world and focused on a rumored manhunt for criminals that took place on Coruscant, feeling that he has yet to delegate the responsibility as Director of Intelligence to someone else. However, after the recent attacks, an emergency session has been called and the representatives have met for hours. Afterwards, the representative from Corulag has held a press conference with the presence of other leaders.

Here the statement that was made earlier today."

The screen turns to a middle-aged human with other human and a Duro behind him. He starts speaking from a prepared statement.

"Today, the leaders of many worlds have decided that its time to take up the responsibility of what was neglected by the Galactic Empire. We have formed an alliance that will protect our citizens and our interests from threats, outside and within our territory. Peace and security will be the paramount concern for the newly formed coalition, the Core World Alliance."

The room begins to rise as the reporters murmurs to each other. However, the representative continues.

"After a majority vote, Corulag will lead and spearhead the goal of stability and prosperity. However, the first act this Alliance will undertake is a serious one, one that we will need every member to take part. We have found evidences of aggression against many members of this alliance. This evidence was gathered after investigation of the recent attacks. Additionally, an agent of terror from the newly formed Falleen Federation was captured at Corellia, operating among with pirates. Intelligence agency of several systems have confirm this information and indicated that the Falleen Federation has been operating in such manners for some time. This hostile act is a debt that will be repaid in full.

"The newly founded Core World Alliance has made themselves, quite possibly, the most powerful faction in the galaxy! This rapid cohesion of systems is not a shock since many were under the Empire but has seceded and may have found a common purpose. Surprisingly, their first enemy they turn to, is the Falleen Federation, which also seceded from the Galactic Empire.
