A woman sat in a Lambda Shuttle as she approached the planets surface with her TIE escort. She felt as the Shuttle began landing procedure into a newly renovated Training Camp. She was having mixed feelings about the upcoming week, she knew that her new plans were all fitting together and every material was ready for use. Though she had to admit that she was quite nervous about her upcoming endeavor, she hid it well but inside she was torn. It was her first major act as Coruscant Sector Governor and would most probably be making her a household name for some time. If everything went through well most Political commentators expected her to gain some serious Imperial but on the other hand Moffs just like her had seen their fall from office be owed to projects like these failing. She had not put to large of amount of funds to the project but she had spent enough to ensure security and that the training was done to the best of the people's abilities.
As she felt the ship land she knew there would be some cameras and news casters waiting for her exit. Her security detail would be holding them back, and they had all been cleared and passed through security but she wanted to at least let them get a first glance at the project itself. The upcoming weeks would be filled with many press conferences and meetings. She intended to use the training facility as her main office for at least the upcoming month and she made sure that her office section had all the equipment needed for her to run the Sector from there. As she walked down the landing ramp and down onto the platform she felt the flashes and camera shoots focused upon her. Her Storm Troopers began to usher her into the Administrative building and into a newly renovated corridor. She was met by two people at the door. One young female aide that would be the Chief of Staff of the complex, Dahn had found her within the Finance Appropriations committee and she immediately appointed her to the position. The girl, Adaria He'lal, had helped her to design most of the way finances would go. The other man was an older looking man who was nominated by the Army High Command and approved by Dahn to be placed within the newly created position of Commandant to the Penal Military Academy. Both of these members came highly recommended and bowed to the Moff respectively as she walked in.
The woman spoke first. ”Your Excellency, the Acclamator has began the initial retrieval stages from the Prison you choose, the four-thousand prisoners will be here in a few days. We did as you requested we took one thousand from a high security prison and the rest from lower sections of the prison. None of them were in for life terms. I also made sure all the items you requested were in your room, I also ensured your old Army uniform was tailored and placed there as well. You have your first major press conference tomorrow morning, then your filmed speech to the incoming Penal soldiers once they arrive. You also have an interview three days from now.” Dahn was still not fully sure this girl would be able to put up with life in the camp as of yet but she sure was organized, Dahn enjoyed when things were delivered to her efficiently.
The the other man spoke and in his very cut and dry, stiff Army voice. The man had been a Lieutenant General in his former career and even Dahn was confident he would do his job well. She had authorized some overly zealous procedures to ensuring these men were kept in line. ”Ma'am, when the men arrive I have the full Regiment of Security forces surrounding their housing building and well as a strong perimeter surrounding the camp. The supplies building has a good guard detail. Also, Ma'am, I have chosen my training staff as you requested if any of them do not deem suitable to you just say the word. Their profiles are on your desk. They have already been sent here and their training areas and classrooms have been designed. Also, I have written up the entire plan of action for the training program and it has also been submitted to you. All of this was sent to your desk this morning.” There was nothing like the efficiency of the Imperial Army, she could tell already that she would like the man next to her and from what she read wished that he had been around long enough to command her Sector Army. Then unexpectedly Dahn began to speak.
”Adaria, I would ask that you get to your office and please send the cost benefit final analysis to the Grand Moff's office, also please make sure that your staff has everything organized. Secondly, make sure that interview is pushed up to tomorrow night. I do not think I will have time in the days after that...” She gave the girl a gesture dismissing her then placed her hands behind her back before looking to the man next to her. “Commandant, please make sure everything is ready for landing and also ensure that my appearances on the grounds are well coordinated. Also, do not be shocked if I appear just to check up... dismissed...” She sent the man off before continuing down the hall to her office suite, which included a generous housing portion. As she walked in she sighed and left her troopers to guard the door.

There were no photographers standing by, no big crowds or any other form of pomp and circumstance waiting for the Lieutenant’s arrival. The only person, in fact, that seemed to have any interest in her appearance was the Corpsman that waited by the landing pad. She was coming in from the service bays, where the supplies and equipment are unloaded rather then the passenger area. Most people would be insulted by such accommodations but Marinya Lebezyatnikov actually had made the arrangements herself. She wasn’t living with a delusion that she was some important figure that would be flocked with photographers like a rock star. In fact, she doubted anyone outside military personnel would bat an eye upon her arrival. Marinya’s motives were simply to avoid all possible contact with civilians so that she’d not accidentally wind up in some picture for the morning paper. Sure, she could easily be edited out of them as ISB controls what the media produces, but just as easily she can assure her own due diligence in avoiding making unnecessary appearances. She was determined to keep a low a profile as absolutely possible here so not to jeopardize the future ability to perform more covert operations.
Marinya stood tall in the shuttle door affixing her cap on her tightly braided blond hair, using a black leather gloved hand to ensure the glossy black rim sat perfectly in the centre of her forehead. Her lithe five and three quarter foot tall frame was dressed in the symbolic black and grey Imperial Security Bureau uniform, covered with her calf length trench coat opened in the front to reveal her buttoned up tunic with her trousers tucked into her knee high black boots polished to a mirror shine. On one side of her waist hung her side arm; the other for more ornamental purposes then anything else, a black leather crop. She leaned over slightly to grab her luggage and walked down the ramp onto the tarmac as the corpsman rushed to her side. The short stout man quickly took the suitcase from her hand and directed her towards the back entrance of the building where yet another low ranked member of the Imperial forces waited.
The Lieutenant hardly looked to the company clerk as she spoke to him, not out of rudeness but rather simply taking in the sight of what would be her temporary home away from home. “Da corpsman will guide me to my kawartars. Go anform da Moff of my arrival.” With the clerk now dispatched she looked to the corpsman. “If you will,” she made her desire to carry on noticed. He nodded and led her on once more as she mulled her presence here.
She wasn’t entirely sure of what to think about this latest assignment. While Marinya wished to keep an open mind about the project, she knew it would provide a challenge to the ISB. These ‘recruits’ were already proven to be less then desirable for society as a whole simply by being convicts. She could only imagine what they would be like on the field. Screening processes only work so well; prisons for obvious reasons were not vacation hotspots and so desperate people will take desperate measures to alleviate their suffering. She was quite sceptical of the selection process being able to completely weed out the most undesirable of these miserable wretches. None of them were death row inmates, which gave her the notion that they weren’t really risking too much by being here. They could serve the Empire or serve out their prison sentences, which made her confident of the possibility of wholesale executions being needed to ensure the ‘recruits’ knew exactly where they stood in her eyes. Society had given up on them; she wasn’t pulling much faith for them either.
The two finally arrived at her temporary living quarters. The room resembled something of a modestly priced hotel-suite designed by an ISD architect with its homely yet still militaristic look and feel, which suited her just fine as she was hoping her tenure here wouldn’t be a long one. As the corpsman set her baggage down on the foot of her bed, she looked about the room, removing her overcoat, draping it over the back of a chair situated in front of the small desk then slid off her gloves tossing them onto the desk itself.
“Shall I give you a tour, Lieutenant?” The corpsman asked shyly.
Marinya shook her head. “No, tank you. I will unpack and den I will probably essplore dis place on my own. You are dismissed.” The corpsman took his leave and Marinya took up a small remove from the desk and switched on a small TV that adorned one of the walls, deciding to see what was going on in the rest of the system as she unpacked her belongings until she got word her message to the Moff was delivered.
