Physical Description:

Kyle has an average build that is no worse for wear. Thick black hair crowns his head and deep brown eyes are visible at all times. There are no distinguishing marks or blemishes on his face or otherwise, and no where on his body is a birthmark visible. Despite his harsh life, he has managed to maintain a cheerful countenance. On a typical day when not in uniform, there is no standard dress you will find Kyle in as he chooses his attire to best match the situation he is in. From the most unruly bar, to the calmness of a mountain top he does his best to blend into his surroundings and few who see him can recall much about him.

Background:

From the death of his parents at age twelve until recent years Kyle’s middle name was trouble. If he wasn’t in trouble with the administrators of the orphanage where he grew up he was in trouble with the law with one mischief or another. Filled with wanderlust and with a chip on his shoulder against those who didn’t stand up to protect his family, he turned into a drifter visiting places and scouring the countryside. Sometimes he would spend weeks in the woods before returning to his ‘home’ for a day, only to return to his travels.

Through his exploration and study he began to make unsavory contacts that could provide him with information for a price. Fortunately for him, he had the money to pay for the information left over from his parents after they were killed. His father he quickly learned was killed in the line of duty as an Imperial soldier by a rogue element opposed to the empire. Though his father’s death had been tragic to him, he could accept his death knowing the reasons. His mother’s death however had been at the hands of a gang known to run the under city of Corulag. Following her abduction she was brutally raped and finally murdered. Her body was found lying on her doorstep six weeks following her abduction.

Kyle hunted the men responsible without regard for who they were, or why they did what they did. Vengeance pre-occupied his thoughts and feelings. Their deaths did not quench his bloodlust, but only served to feed it. He moved from killing gangsters to punishing those who know of his mother’s peril but did nothing to save her. Eventually, he was captured by the Imperial Security Bureau and sentenced to four years re-education.

The time in ISB’s re-education facilities brought a new sense of purpose to Kyle’s life, and the temper that had once ruled him became a powerful tool that he learned to master. He was given a new object to fix his hatred on, the rogue elements that opposed the empire and was taught how to use his survival skills and street smarts to gather information and track anyone or anything. Over time he not only succeeded under the re-education program but thrived. As his talents excelled, loyalty was instilled in him as well as discipline. By the time his sentence was complete; he had no desire to leave but knew it was time to move on. He was re-introduced to being a productive member of society, and his first assignment was work at the re-education facility. Kyle quickly moved from petty tasks to being an assistant instructor who wasn’t liked for his personality but trusted due to his loyalty and skill.

After serving a stint of time at the facility, he was released by the ISB and removed from observation. They encouraged him strongly to enlist in the military and following in his father’s footsteps he enlisted in the Imperial Army.
