Walking through the city was differant when not in uniform, Darin noticed. He used to love coming here, to the Gardens. The view from the rooftop terranium was amazing, and some of the plants were amazing to behold. Walking through the Gardens, Darin thought to himself, about the war, the events leading up to it. The corruption and laziness of the Senate.
That was gone now. Replaced by a stronger structure, by determined individuals, who would see the glory of the Empire rise to new heights.
Darin smiled to himself. Yes, the Empire would indeed rise.
As he walked through the Gardens, he let his hands fall behind his back, brushing the blaster pistol he carried, even off duty, as he clasped his hands. It never paid to be unarmed; not here, and not now. He stopped at the exhibit for a plant from Bothawui. He never would understand the Bothans, he feared. They were greedy, and were not to be trusted as far as you could throw one underwater on a high gravity world. He shrugged, and continued his walk. After he had gone part way through the Gardens, his comlink beeped.
"Yes?" he answered. The voice on the other end informed Darin that he was needed at the office. Something was going on, but the secretary wouldn't say what. "I'll be there in a moment." He turned and walked towards the exit.
